My friend called me last night to tell me that she was looking into selling gold online and wondered if I had any old pieces that I would like to get rid of too. She explained that she knew a local jeweler that she saw in the grocery store, and they told her that she should come in and sell everything gold that she has, that she does not wear anymore. She has a few pieces from when she graduated and she does not wear those, so she thinks that selling gold online will get her more than the local jewelry shop.

It sure was a nice tip from the jewelry store owner but to sell gold to just anyone, you should check them out first. I told her that I would look through my box where I keep all my pieces and see what I thought I might be willing to get rid of. I found a few old gold watches that I got from my mother and a couple of lockets that I have really never worn.

I decided to do some checking online places myself, just so that I did not send all of these pieces off to some guy who could just take them and run. I found out that most of the companies that you sell gold to online are legit and so it looks like I might be making a little extra money soon.
