Ancient Trends of Greece: Use of Merchandise & Clothing

Anciently, Greece used to be a male dominated society where in education was prior derogation for boys. Women used to learn dance and music at home. Irrespective of this, the Greek women love to dress up in bright colours. They normally put on bright coloured or white clothes to gel well with the weather. 

In their free time, Greek women, including mothers, daughters as well as female servants loved to make chitons (tunic like structure). Chiton is a type of Greek apparel made out of fabric which is worn by both men and women. These chitons were made up in such a manner so as to provide complete comfort and pleasure.

Use of bell – bottom was quite frequent. Greek clothing and Greek merchandise were at peak of use during 30’s and 70’s. They are now again regaining popularity. Home designers and fashion designers have again started adopting the use of Greek alphabets to make Greek apparels. Long flow dresses along with maxis are again coming up in the scene. We also see increased marketing of tunic like apparels. This shows the influence of Greek mythology and culture on current generation.

Greek clothing gives you an amazing sense of eternity. Use of structures or carvings or gift articles having Greek stuff imbibed will make you feel heavenly. So if you want to feel like a Greek God or Goddess, try catching up with the trends of Greece.
