Actually, it was not my first decision to sell jewelry of my late grandmamma.  But I left no choice. We really need extra money for my Grandfather’s hospitalization as well as his medication.  When Grandpa sent to ICU (Intensive Care Unit), we hardly fit our budget for his medication. All his meds were very expensive.

My Auntie Soledad is the only sibling of my dad. She also sell her belongings (almost her sets of diamond and gold jewelry) to get cash for gold. I know how my auntie loves her dad so much. She is willing to give up everything for her dad. Since my dad work abroad, he left me to my grandparents care. Therefore I witnessed how my auntie cares for her parents.

On the other hand, I recalled before my late grandmamma passed away, she left her jewelry box to me.  I told my Auntie Soledad about the box and we immediately open it to check what it is inside that box. We were both surprised because it was full of gold and diamond sets of jewelry. Selling those sets of my grand mamma’s jewelry was not our first option, but it was our best decision, because my grandfather survives from his serious illness.

So now, my grandfather is still alive, and enjoys his life with my Auntie Soledad and me.
