Installation, De-Installation And Cisco Repair
Filed Under (Computers) by Fisher

Once the system is tested by the experts and set up, it is necessary for you to verify their usability and efficiency. The issues that will crop up are installation, de-installation and above all, the Cisco repair.

You have to find out whether the installation was perfect and your networking is running real smooth. At the same time you will have to be conversant with the de-installation process where you would like to get rid of old and unused programs that only eats out space.

All high end Cisco networking equipments and sub systems can be similarly tested for judging their true value and effectiveness. There are divergent types of Cisco routers available in the market. They include the Cisco GSR, 7200 series, 3700 series, as well as the 2800 series. Similarly there are also divergent patterns of Cisco Switches. They include the 6509, 4500, and 3550 models.

Some of the repair depots try to attract you by providing free estimate. Do not get lured by it. They often include the cost of their labor and investments made for preparing such free estimate in the ultimate contract costs. Moreover you have to be doubly careful with the used Cisco products as they could really bring you good results only when they are genuine and Cisco certified. Free or paid estimates do not count for their efficiency in any way.

The Tech Guy Could Not Fix Pseries Servers
Filed Under (Computers) by Fisher

It seems that our new computer guy only knows how to fix pseries servers. I really wish that he would have told us that before we hired him two weeks ago. He can fix iseries servers but that really is not going to help me out right now.

When our pseries servers when out last week, I was sure that he would have it up and running before the day was over. When he came into my office and explained why it would not be fixed very soon, I thought I was going to scream. Obviously, I did not do his interview or I would have asked him if he knew all of the equipment we used, and if he would have any trouble fixing it.

I put him in charge of finding someone to fix it, but he said that it would take a few days, it has been five days. We are losing money every minute. All of this because we decided to hire someone who could only fix iseries servers. I am hoping that he is not employed here for much longer.

The next interviewer will probably ask if they can fix all of our equipment and give them a tour or write down a list of everything we have. That will save a lot of headaches for everyone.
